EU Projects
INCONE60 Green
The INCONE60 Green project focuses on digitalization of small ports in the South-Eastern Baltic Sea region to enhance their competitiveness and efficiency.
The project will develop and test a tool to improve maritime and logistics processes in ports such as Vordingborg and Elbląg, with the goal of creating an IT system (SeaTech) for optimizing port operations and stakeholder communication.
DUAL Ports
The EU Interreg project brings together 16 ports and institutes from the North Sea region for one purpose: to find sustainable solutions for green port operations. There are a total of 16 different pilot projects ranging from sediment management to hydrogen production and wave energy.
Vordingborg Port is one of the partners in the DUAL Ports project, and Business Vordingborg is responsible for communication.
Internationalization
With the construction of the Fehmarn Belt tunnel, export opportunities and collaboration possibilities in the German market are increasing. Vordingborg Municipality is becoming a central hub for business between Scandinavia and the rest of Europe. The world is coming closer, and it is the right time for local companies to explore their export opportunities.
Internationalization can help create more jobs, generate growth, and increase the competitiveness of local businesses.
Right Skills for the Right Future
As a project partner in the Interreg North Sea Region project, Business Vordingborg is helping to map and close the gap between current and future skill needs in the blue energy sector in the countries around the North Sea.
With the Kriegers Flak offshore wind farm and the development of Klintholm Harbor as a service port, it is now even more important for local companies to acquire the necessary education and skills to bid on new tasks that create growth opportunities.
