In the eastern part of Vordingborg Municipality, the energy company Copenhagen Energy has applied to establish 5 renewable energy projects, and the developer Wind Estate has applied for a project on the north side of M\u00f8n. At H\u00f8vdingsg\u00e5rd, Torben Halbye has applied to set up two wind turbines, which will pave the way for a local district heating project together with E.ON. <\/p>\n
Energy parks have not yet been established in the eastern energy cluster, but in several places, older wind turbines stand strong as they spin and deliver green energy.<\/p>\n

At five locations in the eastern energy cluster, there are projects for future electricity production in the form of solar panels, wind turbines, or a combination. Here are projects for 464 hectares of solar panels and 14 wind turbines \u2013 installations that together can produce 613,000 MWh of electricity per year, equivalent to the electricity consumption of 360,000 Danes. <\/p>\n
The production of green energy in the energy cluster is also intended to contribute to Vordingborg Municipality’s vision of becoming Eastern Denmark’s powerhouse for green energy and business development in the municipality, as larger energy-consuming companies can advantageously establish themselves close to a solar or wind farm.<\/p>\n
“In Vordingborg Municipality, we need large amounts of renewable energy if we are to have hopes of becoming Eastern Denmark’s powerhouse for green energy. Large amounts of renewable energy are the foundation for creating the right conditions for business development within the green transition in our area,” says Helene Urth, Director of Business Vordingborg. <\/p>\n

The installations can also contribute to the development of the local community, as the owners of the installations must pay into the Green Fund. This is a fund that locals can apply to, and the money can, for example, go towards nature restoration, developing the local area’s access to nature, or general improvement of the local environment. <\/p>\n
